This was a bit of a impromptu film that I shot back in January when we had all that snow. This was just for fun, so I didn't really put too much planning into it. Time on location was relatively minimal, as there was a little bit of freezing rain coming down and I didn't want my gear ruined. Overall for the lack of time spent on pre-production and production, I am pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Shot on a GH13, C settings, Canon FD lenses. 90% of VFX and SFX were created using Video Copilot products.

Your vfx look great. If it was me, I'd recut so that the explosions starting at around 1:46 are the first thing you see. Then cut to the cu's of the actor and his flashbacks. That way you draw the audience in quick, instead of the long lead up with the walk through the snow.

if the footsteps are foley...it's very good done.

if it's from a library...it's very good sound-edited

and if it's just the sound from the shoot....it's good also :-p

The explosions starting at 1:25 (the town)...looks...still to fake....

The explosions in the snow are better I find

Thanks for the comments guys.

Campion, interesting suggestion, that would be a pretty cool way to cut it.

dre83, the footsteps were foley, we had another light snow a few weeks after I shot the film, so I went out with a zoom H2 and stomped around.

Where was this filmed?

Great to see a quote from Lester B Pearson.
For those who don't know this man.
He flew in WW1 and was injured in a crash.
He also become Prime Minister of Canada 1963-68 I think. He died in 72
