Hi,

I have to travel by plane alone with sony f3 and ex1. So I am looking for the carry on bag that can fit both cameras.

Is it possible to carry both in one bag and still fit the plane overhead shelf?

or I need to separate to 2 bags?

and which bag I should buy?

thank you :)

I've been using Porta-Brace Smuggler Case for the past 7 years. It's the largest carry-on legal they offer. I used it for disassembled P2 Varicam. When combined with a small backpack it's the most you will be allowed to carry on. Careful of size restrictions in Europe - many airports will only allow one smaller bag, period. Check your individual airport destinations before leaving. Flying out of Heathrow/London is a nightmare with anything more than 1 small bag. Always make them aware of your professional broadcast camera and don't be afraid to ask for a supervisor if the first person says "no way..." If you're going for max size, go Smuggler, otherwise with the F3/EX1 you're probably better keeping them in separate bags - your large carry-on + your personal bag that is allowed. A LOT of choices in these type of bags.
