Careful with Bluestripephoto

The model on the box when I received my dvx was dvx100Bp, but the model name on the camera itself is dvx100B. I just wanted to confirm what someone told me earlier. Does this mean my camera is not a US version because it doesn't have the p? The 24p works fine and the menus are in English. Should I keep it? I bought it for 2650 from bluestripephoto. What is the difference between this camera and any other? I would really appreciate any suggestions, I just really don't know what to do at this point. Thanks.

FYI The Japanese version is exactly the same as the US. All menus are English even here in Japan. That said, that price is fairly cheap for the DVX100B but your out a warranty I guess I would weigh that up. Plus the fight you would have to return it, if you paid by CC maybe theres something you could do with that.

Thing that bothers me most about your post is they gave you a camera in a US box, which seems to me like an attempt to fool you that everything is US version. Thats deception.

If theres one thing from this website is ALWAYS go w/ an authorized dealer. If its only a couple hundred i dont worry about. But if its even the tiniest investment, you will need that authorized company's support. CCI and BlueStripePhoto arent willing to do that.

Curiosity, did you check resellerratings.com before you bought?

Thank you both for your info, I checked resellerratings.com and other sites and bluestripephoto had good ratings. I guess it was the only reason why I took a chance. Now the US warranty, its only good for one year correct? If it is, maybe I'll just take the chance and keep it. I think there's a good probability that the camera wont cause problems for a year, or I might be wrong. I mean, I always buy extended warranties at bestbuy and 90% of the time I dont use them.
