Card Problem. Help?

Hey guys, I searched the forums and I couldn't find the exact problem I was having with my card.
So here's the scoop:

-I cleaned my card off before I went to shoot this afternoon, I deleted the CLIPINF files, the PLAYLIST files, and the STREAM files.

-When I turned my HMC on it read(and now reads) on the screen, "Control Data Error Has Been Detected," then it says "Now Repairing Data" (but only for a split second) then goes to the ominous, "SYSTEM ERROR TURN POWER OFF."
And when I turn the power off and then back on, it does the same thing.

Soo... what the hell, right? Do I have to reformat my card or something?

You are not supposed to delete files from your computer, with the trouble you have now, try to format the SD card from your camera and see if it will be working. Good luck!

I'm guessing the files created by the computer when deleting the files (recycle bin folder etc) may be screwing things up. Try formatting it within the computer first, then formatting it in the camera if it starts to behave. If that doesn't work... well, the card may be a lemon.

I think its card functions / card format - yep it is. I have found it to be the best way to clear your clips or want to make sure you are 'starting over'.

Gosh, sorry didn't look hard enough. It worked like a charm, thanks MAD. Um, it's an eFilm PRO 16gb 150x card. And also, just noticed something, have you guys seen how rude of a tone it has when you flip the nd filter from bottom to top too fast? (Well I just tried it again to see the exact words it said but now it's being shy) But it honestly said, "Do not play with this."
HAHAHA.
