Car Mount for GH2 (CamTree Gripper vs. Alan Gordon) Thoughts?

I borrowed the Alan Gordon Super Grip DV from a friend but haven't used it yet.... It seems to grip REALLY well. However on thecinecity.com there is a CamTree Gripper that has a rod, 2 suction cups and seems like it would work just as well (although might take an extra few minutes to set up vs. the alan gordon).

Here it is:

Thoughts? Opinion? Suggestions on other brands in similar price range? The CamTree is appealing because its only $69.

Very nice cups but I've had no problems with the DIY route using window sucking cups and mounting a head on it.

Nice find!!!! Much better price than the Alan Gordon. How is the craftsmanship? I have to say this Alan Gordon I'm borrowing feels VERY well made.

It sucks on REALLY well. I might get the Fat Gecko though it looks solid for the price

Fat Gecko experience

Fat Gecko experience

We mount the Fat Gecko to car hoods and inside airplanes. For those uses, we've found that the Fat Gecko wobbles too much. The suction is pretty good but the leg/base that attaches to the camera is too long/high. Once the weight of the camera is on top and the vehicle is moving, the Fat Gecko and camera shake a fair amount. Stabilization in post hasn't helped the problem. It was a nice try for under $40. I think I'm going to upgrade to the Camtree Gripper, based on the video examples I've seen.

If you've got the money to spend, AND want something that's going to last for a long while (and for several cameras).

You can get some film tools suction cups: http://www.filmtools.com/10vacsuccupw.html and then throw a head on them.
I went the more expensive route with a willy's widgets leveling head: http://www.willyswidgets.com/products/mini-4-way-leveling-head/

Works great for a hood mount, used it with my large 35mm adapter/HVX rig, and will hopefully get some chances to use it with my FS100 and GH2.
