Capturing w/out Mojo

Hello. I am trying to capture a movie to Avid Xpress Pro. The source is a DVX-100P and the footage was shot in 24p advanced. I know how to capture using mojo, however this time i am not using mojo and i keep getting "NO INPUT SIGNAL PRESENT" error. Please advise on the steps to correct this. I took the 3-day lesson course, but unfortunately, i didn't take that great of notes :)

Re: Capturing w/out Mojo

I have that happen sometimes as well. This is what works for me...

-Close out of everything, unplug the DVX-100.
-Plug in the DVX and turn it on. Wait a few seconds.
-Open up Avid
-In Capture manually configure.

Good luck.

Re: Capturing w/out Mojo

^^How do i manually configure? Usually i just have avid autodetect and check deck. It doesn't work this time though.

Re: Capturing w/out Mojo

I just click auto detect and it will give me "Generic Device" at that point I will browse to find "Panasonic" then click on the camera "DVX-100P"

Re: Capturing w/out Mojo

The autodetect doesn't work. Let me add that i am not using this on my own computer. I am editing at my school which is hooked up to an extensive network that allows 2 terrabytes of storage. Could the fact that the system is hooked to a network effect my capturing? I guess i will have to call avid.

Re: Capturing w/out Mojo

Autodetect does not work for many cameras as the camera itself does not delcare itself as with a VTR. Do this manually.
