Capturing to Final Cut Pro from DVX

I'm trying to shoot and capture footage on my DVX 100A to FINAL CUT PRO. I keep getting the error message "No video" (or something like that.) I'm able to control the camera through the fire wire, the preview screen acknowledges the VTR is ready, but the preview image never pops up.

Any ideas about how to fix this? Also, is there something within the TIME CODE settings within the DVX that must be set a certain way during shooting, and/or capturing that will make this all work?

You might want to repost your question in the Final Cut section as this appears to be a question about how to use FCP and not about the DVX.
