Capturing to FC Express ?? DVX 100B

I am recording with a DVX100B and want to Use my AG DVC 20 to play back and capture into FC Express ....Will I lose any quality and what setting should I use on FC when setting up the file to capture


We are shooting Motor cross and Free style Motor cross events.


Just curious as to what settings on the DVX as far as 24p - 60i and so on....also when capturing into FC what would give me the best quality?

don't know about the other stuff, but i can tell you that you won't loose anything by playing back and capturing from the dvx20.
 
As long as your capturing through firewire from a minidv camera, it will not make a difference in quality. As far as FCE goes, make sure that under preferences you have the capture driver set to "DV NTSC". That will capture 60i footage in 60i. Make sure that none of your settings are on HDV or any HD format because otherwise it won't work.

That happened to me, I was capturing footage on the last day of the deadline into FCP and the settings were on HDV from the last project and I was importing footage from my DVX.

If you shot any progressive format, then I think there is a setting for advanced pulldown or pulldown.
