Hey all, I hope you can help me out here:
I'm currently running on a PC computer, 150 GB hd, 512 MB RAM, 2.4 GHz. I use Premiere Elements to edit. I filmed some footage on a Panasonic DVX100A camera. I normally film stuff on my Sony Handycam and capture my footage just fine onto my computer. However, when I try to capture footage from the DVX, I run into some problems. My editing program doesn't seem able to recognize the camera very well, it won't capture the footage and the program runs sluggishly. I restarted my computer several times and was able to capture some footage in, but I had problems throughout the capture saying I had drop frames and encountering recording errors. I really just don't understand how one camera can cause my computer to go haywire.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.
- Ken
