capturing problem, strange black bars

When i capture video, there is a very small black border on the top and bottom of the screen, it's really strange. And if i export the video out, the entire image is covered by a black border. If i capture in premiere, the image looks perfectly fine, so i know theres just a problem with Avid xpress pro. What am i doing wrong? Im using a dvx-100a, filmed at 24p advance, squeeze mode.

I tried a bunch of different settings, but cant get rid of the small black bars. I tried searching for this problem but, havent found anyone with this problem. So any help would be great, thank you.

I'm still having the problems, not sure how i can fix this or why this is happening. Here are some screengrabs from inside Avid xpress pro and when i export it out. I noticed that everyone who uses avid has those black bars in there videos, so i guess thats not a problem. But im still curious as to why that happens. But when i export it, those black bars are still in the video. I'm sure this is a really simple problem to fix, so if anyone can help me out, that'd be great, thanks.

I think that's always there just to give a border to the video..... anyway, if it is the video, any TV should (I believe it's) over (could be under) scan and it wouldn't be visible.
