Capturing Out of Sync

When i am capturing to FCP and it finishes, i open up the resulting clip and it is way out of sync. The audio is way out from the video. When i tried the same footage with an old canon 1 ccd piece of junk it imported fine. This has only become a problem today. This has never happened previously with the same camera. Is there something physically wrong with the camera, or is there some setting i have changed inadvertently? Thanks for the help!!

The problem seems to be fixed, at least for the time being . The only thing i changed was a setting in display settings, a setting called Video out OSD. It was off so i set it to on. Can someone tell me what this does? I'd like to know if that's what was causing the trouble. Thanks
