Hi all

I have captured from my new 100ae to FCPHD, I am using apple mac g4, connection is firewire, lower field first, PAL.

I have no problems capturing, the issue seems to be with a jagged look almost like an interlace issue, as when I mpeg2 it for DVD and deinterlace the issue goes away, however I need to print to video tape, can anyone offer some advice on what I might be missing, I am sure it is probably something simple like me!!

Look forward to any help.

Thanks Mark

If you shot in 24P (REGULAR, not 24PA), then I think you need to remove the Pulldown in Cinema Tools. If shot at 24PA, you can do it in FCP. go to Tools> Remove Advanced Pulldown.

I did the latter with 24P (REGULAR) footage, and hade funky interlaceing due to the wrong frames being yanked out.

hi, thanks, but it was not progressive. It was recorded in standard pal, i am wondering if it the DV-pal compressor??

hi right just checked everything, I am recording in PAL which is 25fps, however in quicktime it reports 24.92FPS, the image had horizontal lines on it around faces and hard edges....

Any help??

Hi, found the issue, it appears to be an issue with FCPHD we reset all the preferences, then set it back up to our settings again, all OK... Not why this has happened, but if anyone is having the same issue we would like to know so we can find out why..

Thanks
