So I'm sure there are tons of threads on this but I'm in a hurry. I just got this camera, and I'm unsure of how to get footy from the P2 card to my mac? i have it hooked up with a firewire cable, and my mac recognized the camera, but there are a lot of folders (voice, audio, proxy, video, clip, etc.) and im not sure which to import from. nor am i sure how to import, since none of the files are in a format i recognize, and the video files are locked. what do i do?

You should read up in your manual, but basically you need all of those folders that are in the Contents folder. Copy everything from the P2 cards which will each appear as drives on your desktop. MXF's work with certain folder structure so you should keep the files in that folder structure.

Once on your computer, you can use Final Cut Pro's log and transfer to convert the clips to Quicktime or a program like DVFilm Raylight for mac to start editing.

Best,
Andy
