hi I am tring to capture a mini dvcam tape into fcp and getting error message, capture encountered an error reading the the data on the source tape, this could be a problem with the tape. every few minutes and it stops, I then rewind slightly and start again and it goes in fine, I think from previous posts here its probably to do with the dvcam tape and panasonic not being compatable, but is there a work around as I dont have another way to get footage into fcp.
and if I just carry on I will end up with 30 or more clips which I can edit together but will I experience any other problems? ie choppy image? as I am adding subtitles and making a new master to be screened at a cinema.
