capturing 30P in a 24P timeline

I didn't mean to hijack zhx's thread....so I'm just going to re-post this question here as a separate thread. Should be an easy answer for you Avid masters:

What happens if I capture some additional 30P clips into my 24P timeline (clips were shot in 30P using the intervalometer)? I have been editing my 24P Advanced footage on a 24P timeline in Avid Xpress 5.0 and now I want to capture and add the footage I shot at 30P. I don't mind if there's a slight quality loss in the 30P stuff...as long as it captures.

Go to the Film/24p settings and set pulldown cadence to NONE. Capture Video only. All frames will be captured and played back at 23.976fps resulting in a 25% slow motion. There is no quality loss at all, full progressive DV25 resolution is maintained.

Thank you! I was in a rush at the time and ended up simply capturing the 30P footage without changing any settings...so I presume I lost some quality, but otherwise, the footage did get captured in my 24P timeline. I can't see any ill effects with my naked eye--at least not on my monitor. But I'm glad I now know how to do it properly for best quality footage.
