Capturing 24pA via laptop

I just finished my custom rig that holds my MacBook above my DVX... What program will capture 24p advanced footage? I don't want to spend any money otherwise I would just get OnLocation... I have iMovie on here and it captures everything except 24pA since the timeline can only be 29.97... If I captured 24pA on it anyway and then transfered the raw footage to FCP and removed the adv pulldown, would it work fine?

I wouldn't use iMoive. Captures in .dv and not .mov. Will be a headache in FCP.

I'd load FCP onto the laptop too. You can load it on two systems, just can't USE it at the same time on two systems.

It is working great, but one question... Can I capture with device control enabled so the timecode is in the metadata? It only lets me capture in VTR mode when in device control so I have to turn that off..
