Capturing 24pA in Squeeze in FCP (i know, i know)

Okay, so I have thoroughly researched this commonly asked question but I am still confused. I'm tired of having such a great camera in the DVX100B only to lose SO much quality either when I'm capturing and/or when I'm exporting. I just feel like I'm not getting my money's worth on my camera and my clients are getting gipped. Here's the deal.

I'm shooting at 24pA in squeeze mode. I'm capturing in Final Cut Pro6 with the following settings:

Audio/Video Settings:

Summary:
Sequence preset: DV NTSC 48kHz - 23.98

Capture Preset: DV NTSC 48kHz Advanced (2:3:3:2) Pulldown Removal

Device control Preset: Firewire NTSC

Video Playback: [Missing] (it actually says 'missing' here) Apple Firewire NTSC (720x480)

When i choose "edit" on The Capture Preset (DV NTSC 48kHz Advanced (2:3:3:2) Pulldown Removal) it shows the following:
Quicktime Video Settings:

Digitizer: None
-Everything else here is greyed out.

Sequence settings are set to 23.98. My clips show in the browser that they were captured at 29.97.

On Sequence settings, I clicked "advanced" and under Compressor my Scan mode is:

-Progressive
-16X9

Is this correct for 24pA in squeeze?

I've read Noah's sticky, so please don't send me to this link: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=23355

The PROBLEM is that I still feel like my quality is getting cut down. When I drag through a clip slowly, I can see what looks to be interlaced lines across the frame. When there is movement throughout a scene, there's that slight blur. Things just aren't as crip as they should be on DVX.

I just want the bottom line. If I'm shooting in 24pA squeeze, what settings should I capture with, what should I edit with? I'll tackle exporting later, because that's different depending on what you are exporting for.

Thanks so much for your time and your help.

I use

- Sequence Preset DV NTSC 48 kHz - 23.98 Anamorphic
- Capture Preset DV NTSC 48 kHz Anamorphic Advanced (2:3:3:2) Pulldown Removal
- Device Control Preset Firewire NTSC

The capture preset is not standard, if I remember correctly. It is the same as the non-anamorphic preset but has the "Anamorphic 16:9" box checked in the Capture Preset Editor window (Final Cut Pro -> Audio/Video Settings -> Capture Presets tab -> Edit button).

Everything you mentioned sounded correct except your quicktime video settings under the Capture Preset Editor, where the FPS should be set to 29.97 for the DV camera your capturing from. DV tape cannot play back at 24fps, hence the advanced pulldown in place for it to play back at 29.97. Final Cut strips the advanced cadence 2:3:3:2 from the DV 29.97 stream and captures and ingests the footage as true progressive 23.98 footage.

Also, you shouldn't be missing the DV camera under digitizer. Make sure your camera is turned on and connected via firewire before you launch FCP. As another tip, make sure your tape doesn't have timecode breaks in it and especially don't mix framerates on the same tape!

Here's a screengrab from my settings and good luck! (Note: missing camera under digitizer, I don't have it plugged in!)
