Capture issue? 24P Advanced in Squeeze mode

I guess it's not an issue really as a "how ya done it?"

I'm using FCP4 and can't figure out how to remove the pulldown and anamorphic squeeze at the same time. Seems there is a setting to do one or the other but not both together.

Once again, I know this seems like a lame question but I'm struggling here.

I do not use FCP4, but the ADVCANCE cadence removal is done at time of capture. Look inb the capture options. The timleine proprties (when creating new) should be 23.98 and 16:9.

Yes, I understand that much. If you read my post I'm asking how to remove the pulldown and the squeeze at the same time as they both seem to need to be done when capturing.

I still see no way of removing the pulldown and expanding the squeeze at the same time.

Anyone?

simply capture it as a 24p 2:3:3:2 pulldown file with a 1.2 widescreen pixel aspect ratio. then you will end up with a 24p widscreen (correctly shown) file. at least in premiere..

Duh... I can be so ignorant sometimes.

O.K. heres the real fix for us FCP users. I just found the "Capture Preset Editor" which is under Final Cut Pro>Audio/Video Settings>Capture Presets

This is where you can setup to capture anything you can imagine.

Thanks for the help, that last post is what got me thinking there must be a way to enter a custom capture preset.
