Capture Export settings for DVX

What are the right capture and export settings for the best quality 24p footage?
(final cut in particular)

I haven't had much luck, my footage is interlaced really bad.
 
24p normal or 24p advanced? If you don't import 24pA right or if you put either of them in the wrong editing timebase, then you can get the scan lines like every 4 frames or something. The timebase for normal 24p is 29.98 since it is meant to be mixed with 60i and 30p footage. 24pA has to be imported differently and is put into an editing timebase of 23.974. If you have FCP 6 it should tell you your sequence settings are wrong and ask you to change it.

When importing 24pA footage, in the capture window, on the right go to the third tab that says capture settings then under the drop down box that says capture/input select the one that says DV NTSC 48kHz Advanced (2:3:3:2) Pulldown Removal.
