Capture Camera Cable???

I have the DVX 100b and am trying to use the heads on my JVC capture camera to record with. What cable do I need??? Is it 4 pin to 4 pin??? Where do I plug into the DVX, and where do I plug into the JVC unit??? Thanks in advance!!!
 
yes it is a 4 pin 4 pin just plug the firewire into the firewire port on both cameras and have the capture camera in vtr mode you may have to go into the menu to hit record
 
You're trying to shoot with the DVX and record to the JVC in order to save wear on the DVX heads?

Probably a lot more trouble than it's worth.
 
"Things are not always as they appear" I bought my DVX used with the LCD screen broken off. Now the viewfinder has stopped working. I was hoping that by hooking it up to a slave camera, I could use it's moniter to see what I am shooting. Thanks for any and all help!
 
Well, then you're probably going to want to connect through composite video instead of firewire, because with firewire you won't have any of the screen info you'd have on the LCD or EVF, in which case you'd want to record with the DVX.
