Cap for UV Protector

  i just got a Tiffen 72mm UV protector for the dvx100a and when i put it on i cant put the lens cap back on.  What to do? do i have the wrong UV protector ???

Sounds like it might be one of the 'slim' filters. If so, yes, you should get a regular one.
I have some of the slims but only use them when several filters are needed. This helps reduce vignetting at wide angle.
The slims can be especially difficult to remove, did you get a filter wrench too?

Is thire a cap i can put on the UV filter? :-/

I was only guessing that your filter is slim.
If it is and you don't want to get a regular UV, I guess you could put on any normal thickness filter in front of the slim and put the cap on that. Sorry, I don't know if there is a cap for the the slim. Maybe someone else will know.
You'll just need to take that filter off with the cap if you're not going to shoot with it.
