'Can't You Hear Me Rockin'?' - First HVX Footage = Guitar Hero Mockumentary

So after some struggling with maintaing the proper aspect ratio in quicktime, I've finally managed to upload my very first short film shot with the HVX. I've had the camera for a month and a half, but just got my P2 card in the last week or so.

I'm learning as i'm going and so far it's been pretty fun. I'm hoping to use the camera to shoot a documentary project i've had in the works for a while now, so i decided a 'mockumentary' might be a good first test run.

I'm hoping the file size isn't to big. If so, i'll see if I can post something a little smaller in the future.

Anyways, hope you enjoy.

Very nice for your first project.

However, 200+ MB is too much for a 4:30 video, don't use Uncompressed Audio -- you can bring that size down alot.

Great shots!

I didn't know if I should take it seriously or not since its a mockumentary and actually felt kinda sorry for the dude at one point (I guess that's a good thing?!?)

Anyway, I'm definitely a Guitar Hero addict and would love to see it when it's done.
I know a lot of bars in Toronto that host Guitar Hero competition nights and they're a blast to watch drunkerds participate (I own them).

Be sure to post more!

Thanks for the response guys!

THoff: I'm definitely still dealing with the best settings for exporting videos for the net. I agree the file size was too large...hopefully the next one will be much smaller.

Just a note, for anyone who wanted to check this out but isn't willing to sit through the file download, you can also see it here:

And i've posted it up on YouTube as well for a quick viewing:

I hope to have some more shorts and some REAL documentary footage in the near future. Any comments/criticisms/advice are much appreciated!
