I did a two camera shoot with a DVX 100 and 100A recently and tried to set the 30p scene files up identically. I know the 100A has a few more settings, but those settings didn't pertain to what I needed. I wanted the colors (and all aspects of the different color settings) to match and yield the same picture on my field monitor. Oddly, I could not get the images to look the same on a monitor when applying the same settings.
Is this a surprise to anyone? Are the chips any different? This was very unnerving as I couldn't rely on the numeraical adjustments that should have given me the same picture. It cost me a lot of time since I had to eyeball the picture of one camera and make adjustments in the other to match that - eyeballing again.
Thanks for advice folks.
