Can't stop recording!

I shot a lot of timelapse footage today in 720 60p (I think 1 frame per second with a shutter speed of 1/250). It looks great, but I can't figure out how to stop recording. Pressing the red button does nothing and I am forced to turn the power off. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

when you kill power while shooting, is the footage still usable? or does it get corrupted.
I was told at the Panasonic booth that this is a great function of the HVX. If you lose power, the file is good till the last frame captured.

Turning the power off while it's shooting in normal mode might cause you to lose up to two seconds, but only two seconds. It commits the file to the card and closes it every two seconds.
