Can't see results in Canvas

For some reason I am not able to see the results of my color correction of a clip in my timeline. This is a pretty routine thing that I do almost every day and have never had this problem.

I click on the clip I want to correct in the timeline add the appropriate filter but I cannot see the end result in the timeline. I can see the filter being applied in the video tab of the viewer but nothing in the canvas.... I'm stumped. I haven't changed any preferences or made any changes at all.

Help?

I've found that some clips work but not others, which makes me even more confused
 
pardon me, CTI?

I have it working now, I copied it over to a new sequence, no more issues.

I'm still curious as to what caused this.

CTI = Current Time Indicator (or something like that). Also known as the playhead. :)

Or maybe you had a master loaded in the Viewer and not the actual portion used in your sequence? Happens to me a lot when I have to multi-task.
 
Correct

Current Time Indicator or playhead.

If you load the clip into the viewer, and don't have the CTI over that clip in the canvas, you won't see the results.
