hi,

I have the word "PROCESSING" appearing on my viewfinder and the camera cant get out of pause mode. Underneath 'processing' is "25 0005"
There is also a small, green 'A' next to 'pause'.
I have no idea what this means and how I can stop it 'processing' and continue to film.
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried turning the camera off, removing the battery for a couple of minutes and then trying it again? How about resetting the camera?

I have tried removing battery and re-starting to no avail.
I had thought of resetting but was concerned it would reset all my presets..
Would this happen?

I have tried resetting all the scene presets and still it reads "processing" on the viewfinder when it turns back on. It also won't let me change many of the settings.
The green 'a' for auto light is still there too,and i can't get the camera off this auto setting.
Underneath '"processing..." it now reads 26 0005 instead of 25 0005

I am getting desperate now as I'm supposed to be shooting tomorrow and it won't record!

any help would be much appreciated.

no the problem still exists...

I have spoken with panasonic here in London and they are estimating a 400-500 pound repair..(and its only just out of warranty)

Thanks for your help spartacus in bringing me up the order..but it now looks like an expensive repair.

Sorry to hear that...
What a nonses that Panasonic wont repair it, that the ask money for it!

Unless its your own fault... but why must you pay, because a product the made, wont work anymore...

I am getting a bit scared when reading this...
Such a camera is not supposed to get broke within a year or two.
So even if the warranty time is up, i think a good company will stil repair the camera because of the fast time within it got broken...

I dont think this is service, i like Panasonic for the products, but it seems its not a real good service company. Its a huge expensive and its supossed to keep working unless you trow it on the ground or something (wich the can see ofcourse)

I had better experience with sony...
