Can't program A7siii custom key buttons

I'm having trouble reprogramming the Custom key buttons on the A7siii and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. It feels like I'm locked out of the menus.
For example i want to set C2 on the top to clear image zoom , though I have the same issue no matter which button I try to change .

. So I go Setup> Operation Customize> film(actually video) custom Key settings>Top > and pick #2 key >then here all I see are 6 choices: Playback/ Movie Shooting/ Menu/ Display my menu/ Not set / Follow Custom . No real menu options. Clicking on any of those doesn't get me into any deeper menu settings and its the same for any of the keys.

I know its possible because i've seen a web tutorial where they follow the same menu course but at the end they have all the menu items in the camera available for that key. What am I doing wrong?

Hmmm.... Lenny... yes - something is definitely amiss. Are you sure you're in "video" mode on the wheel on top of camera and maybe not in Auto or something else?
There are nearly limitless options on setting up the custom keys as well as nearly any button or dial on the camera. And you can set these independent of the still mode or have them simply follow that mode.
 
Figured it out thoughm I didn't think it was obvious at all. When you put it in "Not set" then you turn the dial on the camera and that reveals all the menu items.
