I am attempting to Print to Video using the DVX100A and FCP 5.0.4.
-The camera is connected to a Mac G5 Dual 1.8 via firewire
- I had several partially successful attempts where the copy aborted several minutes into the process and gave me a message that frames had been dropped. I lowered the number of real-time audio tracks to 2 and made sure I'm not set to unlimited RT in FCP.
- Now I can't even get the camera to start recording anything. About four seconds into the process it flashes the "no tape in the machine" icon and then stops dead in its tracks.
- I tried re-setting the camera several times and I keep getting the same flashing "no tape" icon.
-I tried a different tape and inserting it in the camera several times but no luck.
-Oddly enough, I can take FCP out of "Print to Video" mode and then put the DVX into record mode without a problem. Unfortunately, this does me no good.
Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
