What am I doing wrong?

1. New tested card, reformatted in camera.
2. Transferred GH1__135.bin to root of SD card
3. Went into settings > Version Disp
4. Pushed the play button, held the play button.

Nothing is happening!!

Dont need to go into settings, just press play when you turn your camera on. It should prompt you to upgrade firmware. Make sure you have set version increments to 10 in Ptool otherwise it might not work.

Try enabling all three patches: "Version Increment," "Prevent Version Compare," and "New Body" (you only need "new body" if you have an unhackable camera). I set my version increment number in the 20's. Also, make sure your battery is fully charged. Interestingly enough, I got a new 16gb Class 10 card and I can't use it to apply the hack. It never works, but if I use my old card it does. The only reason I can think of for this is because I formatted my old card in the computer once. I'm not sure why that works though. Hope this helps.

I cannot stress FULL BATTERY enough. Sometimes that's the main hold up.

The Version Increment is also tricky. I started at 10 and I'm now around 20 something and I've only changed the firmware 5-6 times. Also even though if you check "prevent version compare" I sometimes couldn't save the firmware unless I named it a different file name. I started with 133.bin and I'm now at 137.

Also load up one of the ini files the first time and once it's loaded make sure to check "newbody" because the standard patches don't have that checked off and it's easy to overlook it.

Thanks guys. I needed to up the version to 10 like you said. That was the problem. Turned it on, hit play and it loaded up just fine.
