Can't load DVXUser on my wifi?

I’m a long long time dxvuser.com subscriber but in the last few weeks I’ve unable to even the load the site from my home WiFi. In fact I only discovered today that if I disconnect my WiFi I can load and post as I’m doing now . In fact right now i'm using the hot spot on my phone when it bypasses my home wifi. I don’t have a firewall on my computer . Is my IP address blocked? My provider (xfinity) tried to walk me through that but we didn’t see anything . I've tried emailing DVXUser directly and have posted to the "site info" forum but no response so far so figiured I might try here since this where i often post. What’s going on ? Help!

I'm having similar issues. If I use any of the following browsers I receive a cannot connect error message: Safari, Chrome, Opera, Sunshine. However if I enable my VPN service option then everything works and I can connect with no issues. This makes me wonder if there is an issue with my ISP which is Cox. Is anyone else here using Cox and having issues? Also I can connect using my phone.

I'm using Xfinity . I can only connected using then hot spot on my iphone when its not using xfinity Wifi.
Has the site administrators acknowledged the issue at all.

Hey Lenny - no expert here - but have you tried clearing your browser cache / history and then not using an old bookmark - but rather typing the site directly into url window? Seems really odd that this site or your ISP would be the culprit...
I know this new update is taking me some time to get used to...

I don't know who runs this site or who's responsible for the changes that were made to it recently but it seems pretty lame to me that a lot of long time users are locked out and no one seems to know why or even care. I hope I'm wrong about that but it would be nice to know an effort was underway. Does anyone know how many of us are out there? Is there a common thread ? Pretty frustrating. Is there anyone trying to fix this issue? Hello anyone there ????

This was also the case for me up until a couple days ago. For some reason it now loads on my WiFi, and I didn't change anything.

I still cannot load dvxuser from my home wifi. It worked before the site changes but not now. It doesn't seem like the admins see it as a problem or if they do they're not communicating it. There are probably hundreds if not thousands of users who are trying to load the site but assume it's just down and give up....

Why is this in the Sony PMW Forum? Anyway... I'm not an IT guy, but I agree that I don't see how WiFi would be an issue for the admin. if hardwired is working. And WiFi doesn't seem like an issue for everyone, either. I haven't had any issues specific to WiFi, since the site came back on-line from the refresh. I'm also not saying that I wouldn't be perturbed if it was happening to me and no other sites were having issues, but it doesn't make sense that moving servers and changing software would make a site inaccessible only via wifi for some users, but works fine hardwired. It's kind of like if you had a hardwired mic running to a mixer and 10 people walked up and spoke in to it individually and you could hear them in the mixers headphones and then you put the mic on a wireless transmitter and those same 10 people spoke into the mic again and you could hear everyone except one specific person.

My guess. (Only a guess since I'm not an expert in IT) is fhat it's some kind of security setting that the site is now triggering for some reason when we use a router. It sucks because it's totally impractical to use a wired connection in my apt (it requires me to disconnect all of my other devices because my modem only has one internet port).

Just spitballing, but is your wifi via a standalone wireless router that you hook-up to your ISP's modem or is it an 'all-in-one' set-up provided from your ISP? I'm on Spectrum and I have always had my own wifi router and actually bought my own modem from Best Buy several years ago, because they started charging a monthly rental fee for theirs.

And I totally get the inconvenience. I can't remember the last time I used a hardwired connection at home for anything. I even have repeaters in the kitchen and bedroom to help with coverage in the front and back of the house and extending out into the back yard.

I have spectrum as well . I can’t get on on my pc
it is connected to a router. I am on my cell
and disconnected the WiFi so I can get on. This very messed up. I have absolutely no problem with any other site

If you PM Brent (admin) your public ISP he will whitelist you. I did it and I can now load dvxuer using my home wifi...

For reasons that have nothing to do with DVXUser I changed my modem with Xfinity and now can load and log into DVXUser again. Does that mean I have a new ISP and the old one was blocked?

Could mean your old public IP was blocked and the new one is not, yes.

Still a mystery to me why the old IP would've been blocked but I'm glad I can connect now. To those who wondered why my earlier post was in PMW , its because I knew more people would be visiting this area and people who knew me because I've been on it for so many years. Just thought I could maybe get help - which i obviously couldn't. Odd altogether, had no trouble with any other site in the great big world wide web.
