I must be missing something incredibly obvious but I am trying to import a p2 file in FCP 5.1.2. I have the import P2 window open. I have found in & out points on a clip and slid it into the Que section - and Now What?
How do I import it?
There is an exclamation mark under status.
I can't seem to click in the littelcircles on the left of the clips in the files listed on the upper left quadrent.
What am i missing?

I click on the clip min the que list, hit retry and the little circle goes aropund as if its importing, but I don't see it anywhere.
Maybe I have imported it but can't find it? But it doesn't appear in the project I think I am importing into.

Also - should I have "remove advanced pulldown" selected . i am importing a 720 24PN clip from an HVX. I know this is a stupid question as well, but what does that mean anyway.

Ah... you've been bitten by the FCP 5.1.2 (or Apple OS bug). Do a search because we've been discussing this one extensively. Do you have the pulldown removal checked? You might try unchecking it because that has sometimes worked. The answer for me is to import in FCP 5.1.1 or go to the dark side and import in WindowsXP using the DVCPRO HD decoder from Serious Magic to create a .mov file that FCP can read. Go to apple.com and send feedback that you want the P2 import problem fixed.

When importing 24pN from a P2 card, don't select the pulldown removal because that is what 24pN is. You will create problems (and maybe that is the source of your problem) by trying to remove pulldown when it isn't there.

deselecting remove pulldown did the trick. Thanks again DVXUser.
Weird glitch was I noticed that when I dragged a clip into the import que that the selcted clip was actually the one I dragged. Strange, and wouldn't be good if I only wanted the last clip.
Is that typical also?
