Can't import nanoflash footage...

So, I did my first test today with my af100 and my nanoflash (recording at 220mpbs) and FCP will not recognize the content when I want to log and transfer the footage. I keep getting this error:

"Folder Name" contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches supported media.

I can play the footage on my computer directly off of the CF card or if I transfer it to my harddrive, and FCP is able to import the footage normally (file -> import), however it only shows it at 50mbps, not the 220 that I recorded in.

Anyone have any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

Hopefully some FCP expert will come in and comment, but... isn't log & transfer strictly for non-.MOV files? If you recorded .MOV, you don't "log & transfer", you just drag it to the timeline.

Second, I don't know that you have a bitrate problem. Is the Finder reporting 220mbps? I don't use FCP so I don't know for sure, but I believe it calls the Nano's codec "XDCAM 50mbps" or something, but it uses that same name for any bitrate higher than 50mbps. So you probably are doing it the right way and getting the full value of the 220mbps, but the name FCP assigns to it is just saying "50mbps". Look at the file size to be sure whether you're getting all 220mbps or you somehow only have 50.

Yes as Barry says log and transfer is for camera based file structure such as P2 etc, if you are recording pro res or .mov format on the nanoflash it is just a matter of importing the files as you describe in file import.

As for the bit rate as he also says check the file size, I have also seen different bit rates displayed in FCP and what you also have to bear in mind is that it may be that the rates are being displayed as variable bit rates.

Ah, makes sense in regards to the .mov, thanks for the clearing up.

As for the bitrate, the .mov file says it is 222,320. In FCP, when looking at the clips "data rate", it shows 26.5mbps. Curious as to difference between the 222 bitrate shown by the .mov file and the 26.5mbps data rate shown by FCP in the bin.
