Can't get second audio channel...

I noticed that the second audio channel isn't working at all... only one sound meter is moving on the DVX100a screen. It was working fine before, but now suddenly doesn't work?

I put my shotgun in input 2 and tried getting both channels, but again, only one works...

Will I have to send it in or am I just missing something?
 
Does your shutgun requrie phantom power? Is phantom power turned on for that input? Proper mic/line setting on the switch on the front of the camera near the XLR jacks?
