FS7: Can't get rid of aspect mask (gray bars on the sides of the EVF).

I have two vertical translucent gray bars on the sides of the viewfinder. I can't seem to find a way of getting rid of them. When I navigate to the VF > Mark > Setting and toggle it ON / OFF, the bars disappear but then they are back on the sides of the VF even though the Marker Setting is set to OFF. Do I miss something?

Those are suppose to be there I believe. I think it's to indicate that you are in HD. If you are in 2K or 4K (when the next firmware comes out), they should go away since 2K / 4K takes up the entire VF.

I could swear the bars were not there at first but may be wrong. What is very confusing is the fact that it is possible to temporarily turn them off ( VF e > Mark > Setting and toggle it ON / OFF) which suggests we should be able to have control over them. I have no external monitor to test:which area is the end of frame left/right (in 1080 and in 2k / 4k) ?

I get it now, makes sense. I forgot 4K has a different aspect ratio (wider) than 1080 and UHD. Thanks.
