Can't Get Freeze Frame

I loaded the frame into the Source Monitor, went to Clip:Freeze Frame, but FF is greyed out. What am I doing wrong?

Mark In and Out points on the frame you want to freeze, then select the option.

It still doesn't work--
There are no effects on the clip...I wonder what other factors might prevent the Freeze Frame from being highlighted?

Try it from the record side.

There's no need for IN/OUT points. Just click on record side's picture or move slider under this window. When whole Composer window is active doesn't mean that recording side is active as well. But with separate Source window active, FF is always available unless you move sequence or title to Source window.
