Can't get Audio into DVX

I'm kinda new to the DVX, I hope this problem has a simple solution.

Just finished editing in Premier (Elements, don't laugh). Now I simply want to transfer the footage back onto tape in the DVX.

I put the DVX in VCR mode, hit VCR & REC, play the footage on Premier and only the video transfers, no sound.

I've tried everything but rather than list my efforts can anyone simply say how to do this? I'm guessing I'm missing something simple.
 
Is there a "Export to tape" option in Elements? If so, use that instead. Otherwise, what is happening is you are probably playing the audio through the computer and not DV out. Make sure that the audio playback settings are set for External Device Audio and not the Desktop Audio.

Not sure if Elements is similar, but in Premiere Pro, this is the way to change the audio playback:
Go to Project/Project Settings/General, click on the Playback settings button, then click on the External Device Audio radial button.

Thanx so much, you're awesome. It was simply the radio button in the Playback settings as you said. I googled for hours trying to figure this out.
