Cant focus, everything blurry :'(

I was testing out my new moded fisheye lens today on the dvx until a friend of mine went crashing into me on a skateboard. Luckily he didn't hit the camera, but I got pretty big sudden push while holding the cam.

I looked at the LCD screen and everything was badly out of focus, I thought it was the lens acting up so I took it off but no help, zooming in and out didn't change anything either. I ended up turning the camera off and on again which brought everything back to normal, but still pretty worried about what happened. I never had problems with my cam before and the guarantee is out of date now...

Any idea why this happened or should I be worried?

i had that exact same thing happen to me when filming a music video. My buddy slammed the headstock of his guitar into the lens hood thingy and the focus went all funky, but turning the camera off and on fixed it.

Try getting glasses.

Otherwise it's probably fine. These things happen, there are all sorts of electronic parts in there. Don't worry until it happens again. If it does happen again be sure to check the viewfinder as well; if that's blurry or not narrows down the problem.

also remember the viewfinder can be adusted to focus with each person's vision, with that wheel thingy on the side of the viewfinder. so if and when u check that just keep that in mind.

That's one thing that has always puzzled me...Why do they have a focus wheel on some appliances like Binoculars or camera's small view finder...when a television you don't use one at all...

And also how did we come to know what is in focus and what isn't :) Like what's in focus for me isn't in focus for another :)

The TV screen isn't small and your eye isn't right up next to it.

That's why it's adjustable. :)

for people that wear glasses, like myself, the eyepiece is out of focus when I take off my glasses. The wheel thingy corrects for vision.
