Can't find 2 AE shortcuts but I know they must exist.

There have to be shortcuts that let me:

Slide a layer forward or backard one frame at a time? 10 frames at a time?

And a shortuct that takes the timeline indicator to the first frame of a layer, or the last frame?

Thanks for any advice!

Okay. Found a shortcut for sliding a layer frame by frame: Alt+Page UP/Down

But still cannot for the life of me find a shortcut to take the time indicator to the end of a layer. Or even to the next keyframe would be awesome. No luck so far though.

option page up or down will slide the layer up or down the timeline.
Home and end will move the cursor to the beginning or end of the whole comp.
[ or ] will move the layer to the beginning or end of your cursor, and option [ or ] will cut the layer up to your cursor...

Thanks guys. But those shortcuts aren't the one I was lookin for. ;-) Maybe it doesn't exist.

I want to go from any point in the timeline to the last frame of the layer. Not of the comp. The layer. The layer may only be 20 frames long in a 2 minute timeline. And if I have that 20 frame layer selected, rather than just dragging the timeline indicator to the end (a tricky proposition without enlarging the whole view), I just gotta think there is a shortcut to take me to the end of that layer (not the end of the comp). Thanks!

Don't know the keyboard shortcut (or if it exists) but if you hold shift while dragging the playhead this will do what you want.

Yeah, I think that's the only way. I do use that technique Dough. But if you have a lot of layers with varying end points, the shift-drag technique gets tricky. Hm. I'll keep hunting...and continue to use shift-drag until then. Thanks!

Try these for nudging layers
alt shift pageup/pageupdown 10 frames
alt page up/ pagedown 1 frames

And I and O should take you to the first and last frame of the selected layer.

Cool Everts. Thanks. I'd found the Alt_Shift for shifting a layer a single frame, but didn't know the one for shifting 10 frames. That's damn handy. You know the shortcut for taking timeline indicator to the end of a layer or to the next keyframe?
