can't copy to HD - stuck in SETUP?

just got the hvx. got a 17" macbook pro. follwed instructions, plugged in the firewire, switched to PC mode. it won't let me go up or down the menu - it stays in the 'setup' - you can expand it to 'verify', and then 'on/off' (switching to either will make no difference).

do i need a driver (didn't get any with the camera)? if so, where would i get it?

Hey Vzwiz, i had that problem last weekend when i first went to transfer directly from the camera via firewire. I'm not sure if you've already tried this but instead of turning it to PC mode try Device mode. have it already plugged into your mac. It should then say 1394 device, disconenct... wait a couple of seconds then it should say connect. and the camera should appear on your desktop as those white drive icon things you get when you plug in a flash drive, and depending on how many P2 cards you have in will change the number of ddrives showing on the desktop. eg 1 card 1 drive on macdesktop, 2 cards 2 drives on mac desktop.
