The only two problems I see with the 1DC is that they are limiting the 1080p mode on purpose to 4:2:0 H.264 video to protect the C300 and the price
15k USD is way too much for this, it should be somewhere under 10 grand.

This really gets on my nerves. I'd be ok with the price, if it had 1080/60P 4:2:2..... It would be a very useful multi task camera. Why they felt the need to cripple it, I don't know.... They are the same price bracket..... one gets 4K (that not everyone needs), the other gets load of pro accessories (that not everyone needs). Both should get 1080p 4:2:2

Since a guessing game has started, why not some more to kill time:

Canon C300: Initial announced price: 20000 USD. Final price: 16000 USD. Percentage reduction: 4000/20000 = 25%
Canon C500: Initial announced price: 30000 USD. Final price: 26000 USD. Percentage reduction: 4000/30000 = 13%
Canon C100: Initial announced price: 8000 USD. Final price: 6500 USD. Percentage reduction: 1500/8000 = 18.75%

So Guess how much % they will reduce the 1D C price from the initial listed price of 15000 USD.
If it is 25% like the C300, then the final price would be: 11,250 USD
If it is 13.33% like the C500, then final price would be: 13,000 USD
IF it is 18.75% like the C100, then final price would be: 12,187 USD.

I had started an opinion poll here asking how many people will buy at a price of 10k. http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?280809-1D-C-Pricing Out of the 80 voters only 10 were ready to buy at 10k.

Personally I think the price should be around 12k max.
