Canon XL2 For sale

I have a Canon Xl2 and if you're a video buff I'm sure you already know what this is. I have the 20x Fluorite lens kit and a new BP-945 Battery.

I'm willing to sell it for $3,300 since it's been used, though only for a short amount of time. If someone offers me the $3,300 or a little more I'll throw in an Azden ECZ-990 Super Cardoid shotgun microphone.


If you want to know WHY I'm selling such an amazing camera here's my reason: I bought it in order to learn more about the prosumer camera world, I did indeed learn a LOT with it. But for the things my friends and I film, it's too large to carry around everywhere. I can't just fit it in my backpack and take it somewhere. I'm planning on selling it and buying a Sony VX2100 instead. Now the only reason I'm stepping down from the Xl2 world is because of it's size. I love everything else about this cam. I just can't be running around the city (literally, running) while carrying it. Lest I drop it or something.

So. If someone can offer me $3,300 or a trade of a Brand new Sony Vx2100 + money please contact me ASAP because I may be listing it on eBay if I don't get a reply soon.

This camera has seen very few hours. I've only had it a few weeks and a friend of mine had it before me. I've only used it indoors pretty much. The only outdoor shooting I've done was for about 20 minutes total. I'll take some pictures right now for you.

Heres a picture of the back,shows NEVER before used XLR ports. Also shows the Earphone jack and the earphone volume control. You can also kind of see the BP-945 Battery sticking out. As well as the boxes for the Brand new microphone and the brand new battery charger. Just purchased no more than two weeks ago. And barely used.

This image shows the viewfinder flipped up to expose the LCD screen. Most people think the XL2 doesn't have an LCD screen, but all you do is flip this up and voila! It's very nice quality too. Also, above the handle theres a little door, open that up and you have your VCR controls.

And heres a picture of the lens. Perfect condition and scratch free. I was completely honest and didn't try to clean it off or anything before taking the picture. But If I did it would be PERFECT.

I've only had it about two-three weeks. But a friend of mine had it before me but I'm not sure how long. He said he only had it a short time and he barely has any hours on it so I would assume there is still a warranty.
 
Advil, I just spoke with you on the phone. Your friend who lost every thing on airlines flight, doe's he have the reciept for the camera? Purchase reciept. Did he register the camera for warrenty purposes?
 
I don't think so. It must have been on in the box with all of his luggage :-\

Because he lost a lot of his camera stuff as well, which is why I had to buy a microphone, battery, charger and stuff. I'll ask whenever I see him though.
 
Yeah 561 is a Florida Area Code (palm beach county). I just moved here to Iowa in January but I kept my cellular phone number.

My area code here in iowa is 515.

Low profile as hell. Fits in my backpack. Really ...... get a DVX. You'll be glad you did.

It's most likely that he opened his ebay account when he was living there and hasn't changed his profile... most likely.:undecided
