Canon XL/1 lens able to be used on AF100?

A friend is selling off his SD Canon XL/1. I believe that the lens is removeable for this. Has anyone tried using it with the AF/100? Does it work?
 
The lens will most likely not come close to covering the sensor. It is pretty uncommon for any small sensor camera lenses to work on 4/3 without large issues or workarounds.
 
Won't work. The AF100 sensor is 16x larger than the XL1's. Even if you could find a way to mount the lens, you'd get an image that looks like an all-black screen with a tiny little circular window in the very very center.
