Canon XH A1, cut with GH1?

First question.. can ANYONE on a Windows system get this clip to play... it was captured on a mac from a Canon xh-a1

The file opens but only plays audio.. no visual.

Basically, some people who are very unfamiliar with video or editing shot a rap video on a Canon xh a1 (very poorly) and want me to sync it and do an edit as best I can. They realize it was done poorly.

2ndly, they saw the GH1 hacked footage and wanted to hire me to do another music video where I shoot & edit.

3rdly they asked if I can mix some footage in spots they missed on the 1st video.

I can't see how it can possibly cut together as the xh-a1 video they shot is really really bad.. I am not sure if it was shot in the 24 mode or 30p. They had already imported everything into imovie... and dumped the files to a 32 gig sd card. I imported it but can't get anything to play on my win 7 edit bay... in any player or editing program. Quicktime says it needs something but doesn't say what...

Any help is appreciated... again this is the shortest clip of the about 38 minutes of raw footage

added info.. thought maybe I didn't have the prores decoder for windows installed.. but when i tried to dl that it says I already had a later version installed. I have quicktime 7.6.6 player on my system not pro.
