Canon Underwater Photo setup.

Okay... Dec. 31 cleaning house.

Set includes :

Canon S70 7.1MP Compact camera with 2 batteries.

Canon WP-DC40 Underwater Enclosure for S70. Rated to 132' depth.

Sealife Reefmaster SL960 Flash

Granted digital camera prices drop like a rock, the prices on the enclosure and flash dont drop.

My pricing on this is based on three things: how much I paid, how much the camera would now sell for and how much it would cost to get into a similar setup brand new.

What I spent: $600 + $170 + $200 + tax. I hate tax so we'll ignore it.

Compared to new cameras, what the S70 is worth: $200 (Canon doesnt make a camera in this class anymore.)

What a similar setup would cost new: (A710) $350, (WP-DC6) $170, (SL960) $200.

So, our three numbers are $970, $570, and $720.

*********************************

The setup was only used twice. I, unfortunately have no photos from using the flash. I bought the flash before the second dive and have some photos somewhere. I just have to find them.

Here is a gallery of the photos used my first dive, before I bought the flash. Keep in mind this was my first time ever taking underwater photos and first time using this camera. All experimental.

(Side note: That is my brother in many photos. Passed away in that Bay diving just less than a year ago. Great guy and Master Diver. The reason I dont dive anymore and dont have a use for the gear anymore.)

I will look for the photos taken with the flash. I dont guarantee I'll find them.

Asking price $600

I'll throw in a 512M CF card to boot. Flash takes 4 AAs.

Just one single, humble bump.

If anyone is interested, make an offer.

I may also be interested in camera/filming related accessories. I have a DVX100b If you have anything you'd like to offer for trade.
