Canon Timer Problem TC-80N3

Hi guys,
I have the Canon TC-80N3 Timer Remote control for time lapse and all of a sudden it has quit working on me, I ofcourse switched out the battery for a new one but still nothing, anyone had this problem any suggestions? I know it's not too expensive to replace but I just wanted to see if I could fix it first.

screen still showing info? you can't turn it off so if you're getting power, you'll see something on the display. as far as any other problems, is it too late to take it back for a replacement? i've had mine for a month or so and no problems. maybe it's just a bad unit.
