Canon T2i not taking photos

So it is taking photos but just yesterday I snapped a photo and this error came up. Yet I went back to playback and the picture did indeed take but the error comes up when the shutter is released.

So if I must clean the contact lens, what is the contacts? How do I properly go about doing this without damaging the lens?

Anyone? I'd love to have it back working if anyone knows how to solve this problem.

The electronic contacts on your lens, and the corresponding contacts on the camera body. I guess try dabbing some q-tips in rubbing alcohol and wiping the contacts VERY CAREFULLY. Don't want solution dripping onto the mirror and maybe hitting the sensor...

haha, I'm scared on how much it'll cost and how long it'll take to get back to me. I'm booked with video work almost every weekend so I'd need it. Plus something happened to it not too long ago with it not fitting in the camera that I couldn't even notice and it was almost $200. So yes, i'm scared
