Hey all, just wanted to let you know that the Canon T2i/550d is in stock somewhere! (now its too pricey on this site for me, but still wanted you to be aware if it works for you.) now this is the 550d model, which is the european one right? would that mean that it only does PAL and no NTSC? anyways, here is the link:

please post here if you see it instock somewhere else or your pre-order has shipped/arrived! (i'd love to see an unboxing video!)

That's exciting news. Looks like Canada will have their's any day now with the US soon to follow. Don't know if I'll film an unboxing video but I'll definitely take it for a joy ride the day I get it and post footage. I'm excited it's available somewhere in the world. It just means it's not too long for the rest of us.

In answer to your question, the 550D records in PAL and NTSC so you're covered either way.

damn, i'd actually order it if the price weren't spiked so much, id rather my camera said 550d than T2i anyway (just seems more professional to me for some reason :P)

"t2i" is the least of my problems with the name. It's the "Rebel" label that will bug me. Maybe I can paint over it.

so actually B&H has them too now! i canceld my order with J&R and placed one with B&H just because I've ordered from them a bunch before and I feel comfortable with them.
