Canon T2i = IN STOCK USA B&H Photo ( HURRY!)

If you're going to compare it to the 7D, all you need to do is "tape" them together and shoot the exact same thing at the exact same time with the exact same lens albeit with a slight paralax shift.

That because we want to avoid sales tax !

That's why I love living in close proximity to NY! I order from B&H, don't pay sales tax, and get my item in the next day or two. (Estimated delivery is Friday)

Just ordered mine, very excited. :Drogar-Happy(DBG):

I'll be running through all the existing threads, but if anyone can PM me/recommend/endorse anything else I should pick up in terms of SD cards, that would be appreciated.

Seems like they only have a kit right now, I rather save $100 for a better lens than getting the kit lens, unless you are shooting video outdoor only, or if you have control of your light indoor, I think the kit lens f4-5.6 is a waste of money.

I agree with U!

Canon users, do U have any suggestion abut lens?
I came from nikon... and I thinking to buy canon: 50mm 1.4, 100mm 2.8 macro and I need wide during day light so 10-22. (checked 20mm 2.8, but is not enough wide)

Any other realy good lens?

Why don't you buy an adapter for your nikon lens then you don't have to buy more lens, but the only good wide and fast for it I think is the Tokina 11-16 2.8

I ve already sold them.
if I use adapter, there will not be AF

I am not sure but can 550d/T2i handle nikon lens blende? (forexample 50mm 1.4D? and how about G?)

You don't want to use auto focus for video, manual will be faster and more accurate if you have a loop like Z-finder, beside it is not like continous auto focus like video camera auto focus, it focus only when you pressed the shutter released halfway down and then when you subject change distance you will have to pressed it halfway down again and watch it hunt for focusing, in liveview mode it use the sensor to focus and so much slower than quick focus mode when live view is off, unless you want autofocus for still then that is a good reason to go with Canon lens.

I know I know, and practised manual focus ( in video mode) a lot with d90, but some situations AF is a big help.

The bigest problem was to find the right focus on sunny day, so lcdvf is a minimum accesories.

I sent an email last night to the camera store wondering about the status of my cam and they called me today to tell me that my camera should be arriving today. Crossing fingers!

Man, and those are without any kind of "filmic" CC. And I believe those were at 30p.

I was going to rent a Canon 7D for around 130 bucks per day from a local guy here. But seeing this one in action at this price point, it might be worth picking up.

Yeah, that "Book of Days" clip cost me $1600. Damn those folks at Canon.

Wrong (-:, it will be a couple more grand if you want some decent lens, loop, audio recorder...

Not starting totally from scratch. Got the audio gear already and not looking to get alot of lenses. Bascially, I already have a Tammy 17-50 2.8 with VC and am planning on getting a 70-200 and a fast prime to round things out. Anything more than that will be nice to have rather than necessary to have. Still when it's all over with, I will have invested as much into each cam as I would in a Canon A1 without accessories. Not a bad deal IMHO.

Well B&H is now sold out.
Glad I ordered mine last night with some cards and a 50mm 1.8 lens.
Should have it by Friday or so.
