Also the T6s and T6i, but not that much new. Canon quite clearly have reserved the pro video features and quality to their Cinema line

Unfortunately, mo' MPx are the only way they know how to market cameras these days.

I see it as more of a proof of concept idea that is based on the parallel sensor readout, which allows for the - supposed - 9.5 FPS shooting with these 120 MPS. Looking into the future - how far into the future? .... all the way to the Year 2000, Conan - I can see this technology successfully used on a 8K camera with their 50 MPX sensor that is only now being introduced on their 5DS line of products.

So, when Canon says this is video geared, I concur.
