On Tuesday, March 16, Canon will release a major firmware upgrade for the Canon 5D Mark II. This upgrade includes 23.98 frame rate recording capability, and Abel is throwing a Canon 5D Firmware Download Party to celebrate. This will be a unique opportunity to get your camera upgraded and learn about the new features of the 5D Mark II firmware version 2.0.3 directly from the experts at Abel and Canon.

We will be performing free firmware upgrades all day, with a formal session beginning at 6pm.

Join us as Jon Fauer, ASC, editor of the Film & Digital Times, discusses the impact of HDSLR cameras on our industry, and Ed Meyer, Professional Markets Representative for Canon USA, presents the new features of the camera. The evening will conclude with Andy Shipsides, Abel's Camera Technology Specialist, showcasing the latest HDSLR gear for professional applications.

For more information on the event, click here. We look forward to seeing you at the party!

RSVP: Claire Orpeza, rsvp@abelcine.com

Please RSVP for the day's event and tell us if you will be attending the session in the evening. Space is limited for this FREE event so RSVP today.[FONT=Verdana,Geneva,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]

can't have your cake and eat it too.

I'll eat my cake in appreciation that Canon even addressed the AGC problem. Really wasn't even expecting them to do that.

That being said, it would be nice if they would enable the the AV out jack as a headphone jack the way Hudson did with Magic Lantern. ....I know, never satisfied. I can make what they have done work very well, though. The upgrade takes the audio from being unusable to at least usable.
